Well, you must be clicking on the words that are already sold, see sold words are links which are styled as boxes.

excellent idea with this keywords. I've submited few of my sites but not much, so others can get their chance.

 

I just pay to get my word into featured section, now, if I see my word falling off that, how do I get it back? can I just add payment or do I have to pay the whole bid all over again?

Acutally not many people buy featured words on our home page, so I believe it would stay there for quite some time. Even if you are bumpped off the list, you just pay extra to get up rather than the 4 dollars over again. It's the same idea with bidding directory.
