I kept getting flagged and removed after i post my stuff... Just wondering does this happen to anyone else?
Some people run anti-competition spiders that autoflag (using differing IPs) their competitors based on KEYWORDS
Good point, US Craigslist is very competitive. Also, they are beginning to crack down on posts made from non US IPs. It used to be just US IPs.
That's why. Make sure you're using nonpublic proxies. Expect 50% to 90% of your posts to be removed. They are very very tight.
hahaha at least they allow you to post THEN they remove your post! When I post there, my post don't even show anymore LOL ... and I didn't do anything illegal
You know, what I hate is that I see many people promoting paid surveys stuff like that there EVERY DAY, they post URL etc and craigslist approve it, now if I want to write a few words there it doesn't even show up! Does anyone here knows if craigslist block ip?
Nothing wrong with Craigslist. It's just that people either flag your ads, or you post and they go up but then after a few more posts you trigger spam detection filters or you post and just dont get ads up period because you were posting ads that CL considers spam.
The key to craigslist for me is to write as many unique ads as you can. All my ads basically give the same message, but they are all worded differently. I have between 100-200 different ads that I use. I created a cl account so all of my ads are in my account. I never run more than 10-20 ads at a time, but having an account is really useful in that I can just re-post my ads when they expire. This is a lot of work up front getting all the ads written etc., but once you get it going it's not too bad. You just need to go in and renew the ads when needed. This is just my opinion, but I really think that cl does not care if they get spammed. As long as it is unique spam. Remember they would have the same duplicate content issues with search engines as you and I have if we posted the same content 100 times. It is very easy for them to limit the number of ads per day that come from an IP. If they really care about spam, why do they allow people to post 10 or 20 ads per day from the same IP? So in my opinion, they are just looking for fresh UNIQUE content for their website just like you and I are. And they're getting us to provide it for free, lol. Carl
