Hi Guys! I was wondering if anyone could help me get a good .htaccess which will prevent hotlinking by referrer in a selective manner... I have been hotlinked to death in the past week and used about 1TB of transfer during that time because specific Russian sites and Chinesse sites have been leeching my images/bw. The htaccess that I have blocks everyone and only allows those I enter in the file to hotlink..... the problem is that according to my business that is not the best solution. What I want is an htaccess file where I could enter and block the bad referrers as I encounter them.... this is what I have right now (this is the form and syntax.. not the actual file): To my understanding that says block everyone and allow only those in the file..... I need to get something that will do the inverse, I need to allow everyone and only block the bad referrers that I enter on the list... Please remember that I need to block them by referrer..so the is not ideal... Any ideas of how to do that? Any suggestion/comment is welcomed.... thanks for your help in advance!
Hi Freerollers! Will that file still work if I replace the last line with something like this: ? I don't want to use an "angry man" image.. Also.. is that last line supposed to have a " | " or is it a typo?: domain3l\.com/ [NC]
Wont that still be a drain on your bandwidth to send them back an error pic? But If you're going to send any no hotlinking image u should send a goatse pic.
