Good PR Really Does Not Help Adwords Does It?

I have a site with PR5. I very targeted site built on wordpress. I changed over a campaign from Adwords to it today from a site that was slapped together for a affiliate product. The old site has no PR.

Interestingly but not surprising, Adwords hates the PR5 site and preffers the trashy site. PPC is lower on the old site.

    Argh

PageRank has NOTHING to do with the performance of your Adword Campaign.

Right, I actually know that. I just find it ironic in the grand scheme of things that a crap site is considered better than a site with valuable content. I know Adwords is all about landing page quality ...... - still it is beyond real world logic the way it works.

thats because PPC marketing is expected to be direct response marketing, very promotional and with the obvious intent to sell something. Google SEO natural results are meant to have information and be non sales like. If you notice most natural listing do not contain any call to actions unless you are asking about a specific product and even then most of the time its reviews. Natural listing are meant to educate and PPC listing are meant to sell. If you educate on PPC, you will get lower QS scores, this is why review and compare sites are out...

I wish it was that simpler...'all about landing page quality'!

And it's not beyond logic the way it works. It needs mastering and continous learning.

I think the problem lies in TODAY.... It can take a few days of a campign for the price to settle.

As long as the keywords you are bidding on and the landing page are relevant you should find the price comes down.

Let us know how it goes..

Definately lloydh - give it a little time for the account to settle in and build some history. If your account is good the CPC should drop and rank increase over the next few weeks...
