DevientArt. They are one of the largest sites in the world so I imagine Google would have contacted them if it was a problem....
I don't think its wrong or against Google TOS because altering the borders to merge with the site doesn't mean we are doing anything against adsense TOS. I think its a smart an effective way to get higher CTR.
why is your adsense ad content box casting a shadow.. I think its wrong. Use your ad code in plain background and not on some fancy background image like this one.
I think this ill not hurt you , we have seen many publishers using background paper like we use in feeds also . Their are account are working fine .
That is completely fine, makes the add "pop". Pretty clever if you ask me, I bet they get some great CTR with that unit.
I don't think there's anything wrong with that. Basically it's still telling readers very clearly it's an ad.

Nothing wrong with it at all. Very nice effect, the best way to make cash from Adsense is to make the add look different and make it blend in with the site's theme. Nice job! What is your CTR out of curiosity?
I do appreciate your responses. its not my site, its deviantart.com! its a big site and yes premium publishers have special advantages. i really liked the idea, but i wanted to ask if this is risky to do, i don't want to lose my account and get banned because i am not premium publisher. adsense never reponse to emails, you only get bla blah blah check our help center, and read the answers for questions there, blah blah .. and read our TOS !!
