I am really confused.... When I type in my browser www.squidoo.com/ my lens name ,I can find my lens. But when I type squidoo my lens name ,I can't find it and it should be there. So is my squidoo lens indexed or not? Thanks for your answers.
Google will index everything unless told not to. When you bring up you lens, has that been indexed. If any link to that page has a "nofollow" attribute or javaScript link, then it will never be indexed. Most of the Squidoo types are using the "nofollow" attribute in there links now, making this concept worthless for PR or even SEO. If you look at the Wiki scenario, they asked everyone to add content and in return gave them a link. The world jumped on this. Then from out of nowhere, the "nofollow" link was added. Poof, no more link. But they still had the content. Smart ripoff.
well thats a weird problem you are having out there! it might take a while to get indexed but i have never come across that issue! check again and make sure everythings right!
Well, Google loves Squidoo, so all lenses are visited very fast by googlebot, but now Squidoo uses "nofollow" tag. Remeber a few months ago when Squidoo dominate Google Serps, then Google "devaluate" Squidoo... what a happy times !!
Squidoo lens do follow links if you are the owner of the lens, squidoo doesn't add "nofollow" to outgoing links if you place the links as the owner using HTML tags <a href="link"></a> in the text module, hubpages add the nofollow feature if your hubscore is below 50
It's only nofollow on a WIP lens. Once it is Featured the nofollow's are removed on all your own outbound links.
to know if google indexes any type of pages install the google toolbar and go to such page then press the PageRank bar in the Google tool bar, from the menu select Cached snapshot of Page, this will give you exactly what google index caches from that page
