One question for SEO masters!!!

I have only one question and please leave a honest answer from your experience.

If I want to be on the first page(maybe ewen first) of google search results for a long tailed keyword.(3+ words)

Can a domain name help me get there almost immediately?

What i mean,If someone is looking for "weding gifts" and my domain is www.wedinggifts.com will i be on the first place of search engines.

And does it matter if i have a competition?

Even if it is long tailed, you still have to do some on page SEO and get some quality inbound links.

 

Under normal conditions, I would say yes, but you have a misspelling in you domain and this will be a negative.

Wedding vs. Weding - People will search on the term "Wedding Gifts yyyy" and therefore your site will never come up. The domain or URL will not help you in this case, we have found that misspelling domains will hurt you. People do not turst them.

Second, it the site is under 6 months old, the answer again will be no. "Google Sandbox"

 

Ok if i name my site www.bestweddinggifts.com and they search for "best wedding gifts" will my site appear on the first place.

Could you explain me what is "google sandbox".

 

You should have a thought about this - says it all.

I just searched on Google for - wedinggifts - your URL

This DP forum is # 2 for that term and your site nowhere.

Not to talk about - weding gifts - 9 million + competition

 

That was just a example.I just want to keep my keywords private.

And they have(few)about 200,000-250,000 competition.

First of all Domain really plays an important role in SEO.

Yes it will be very Easy for SEO's as the keyword itself is in the domain name

Ur keyword is "wedding gifts" and it will be the most easy to rank on top.

Anybody want to come on top in Google choose the perfect domain rich keyword as said above and it is the best to be on top in competition

For more results u can check for keywords in google like "shopping" , shop etc,,, all are on 1st page #1 position and check there competition too....

So its more wise to play with the Keyword rich domain

I don't want to build just one website,more like 10 websites with the keyword in the domain name,building backlinks,all SEO needed,this websites will be for affiliate products so they will not be "content rich" that was the primary reason I asked if the Domain name plays an important role in SEO.

The keywords(domain names) don't have a huge competition,200,000-250,000 competition each.And it is a really profitable niche so it is worth doing it.
All keywords have a average of about 10,000 searches monthly.

One more question,Is it a difference if i have a .com or .net(or similar)extension.

 

1st domain plays a crucial role its really important for global and niche too
For example: "online store" is the keyword and i want to be global
so domains would be either onlinestore.com or buyonlinestore.com or buyonline.com

Now u can see buyonlinestore.com would be the best becz it would drive much traffic and can rank top on both the keywords "online store" and "buy online"

2nd .com is the best if we go globally and then comes .net and so on,,,,,,

So, you want to be in the first page of all search engines, choosing long tail keywords is the best choice to be in top results, apart from that you need to concentrate on some other aspects also.
(ie. Pages should be content rich, using meta keywords option, building website according to the guide lines etc..)
Following these will help you to get your site in top results and lastly try some off page techniques to be more effective..

When u chose a domain do go for Primary keyword target and yes u can make separate websites for niche keywords with a keyword rich domain.
But don't do any link exchanges with them,,,,,,,,,,,,

 

That would reduce my keywords to 4-5 of them(chosing a good domain name).

So what do you think,can i be first with little but relevant content on my site?
