I just wondering do people who believe in creationism and young earth have any other reason too, other than it says so in the bible. And what do they think about scientists who have proof otherwise to they take this on board or just think they're heathen scum who are going to hell and whos only goal is to lie and deceive people. Also one other thing i was wondering with creationism back when "god created everything" and dinosaurs and people where living together surely that would just result in the dinosaurs eating the people so humans would die out not the other way round.
Good thread inasmuch as it will flush out the Creationists. You can then note their names and try and sell them something - if they've swallowed Genesis they'll swallow anything. .... and why in pictures are Adam and Eve always shown with navels when they never had umbilical cords? eh? eh?
The bible essentially starts at the beginning of mankind. We don't know what was here prior to then other than the concept that God existed. Dinosaurs may have been here prior to the creation of the earth as we know it. I know, its deep. Anyhow, I think that your argument is a bit flawed. The food chain has been in existence for millions of years if you were to go on the concept of an old earth. With your argument that because one species feeds on another that it would eventually become extinct... why isn't there only one species... the one at the top of the food chain?
Mustn't ...... get ...... drawn ....... in ....... That's very interesting PHPGator. Where did the dinosaurs live before the earth as we know it was created? And with regard to the food chain I think your 'last animal standing' argument is a bit flawed. Firstly not all animals eat each other in a kind of evolutionary knockout. Secondly species do breed and numbers of both predators and prey fluctuate depending on the food supply. Thirdly species adapt. In the depths of Loch Ness in Scotland are a species of carniverous trout. They are the only animal that lives in the depths of the loch and all they have to eat are each other. When their numbers get dangerously low they sense this, call a truce and move up to the middle waters of the loch to breed. Once their numbers are up again they go back to their usual place and start the cycle again. They DON'T eat the other fish that share the loch with them. Anyway fair play to you for NOT saying "The earth is young and was directly created by God because it says so in the bible." That would be a bit like me saying "You should be a Communist because in Das Kapital Karl Mark said ..."
If I typed that and put a different group some cry baby from florida would report my post and get me some of dem infraction points.... But anyway, you can try to insult someone who believes in God and His word all you want, you can even try to make up things are twist the facts. OR do what is popular and call them names and insult them, say things like they are retarded are foolish, etc... Some things haven't changed in this world and your behavior is nothing new. Sad. Now back on topic. What has science actually proven that disproves the Bible? In another thread someone is trying to use the "age proof" where he hasn't done his research on how they determine the age of things on the earth. How many errors they have doing this, including how it is still a guesstimate since they don't know the levels of carbon that existed *(don't forget your hero gore says we are carbonizing the world-joke if you didn't understand..) and the half-life of carbon is only assumed accurate up to 80,000 years.
Educate yourself http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w5369-OobM4&feature=PlayList&p=41270A009323706E&index=4 Science has a multitude of independent dating methods and each method validates the next. Just because you are personally ignorant and profoundly ill-educated on a particular scientific method doesn't make it any less reliable, It just means you haven't read enough books. But hey, How can knowing stuff compare to your baseless, blind, credulous acceptance of a primitive myth.
What I do not get is how christians say they do not follow the old testament anymore yet they still believe genisis which is in the old testement.
I think you are confused or are hearing from someone like stox on what Christians say. The Old testament has certain laws that were for the Jews that are not directed towards the Christian. The history in the old Testament has not changed.
