hi piratesbi, I remember you said in an old thread you verified with an HDFC NetSafe. Did Paypal give any problems later ?
Thats really cool. Their is a bank which provide on line transaction from debit card. it was new for me.
Did this work????? I also tried to verify my Paypal acc with SBI International Gold Debit (VISA) card.... and i was charged $1.95 immediately. I can see the transaction online at onlinesbi.com. But I DO NOT see any PayPal 4-digit code mentioned with it??? Please Help
The problem happened with me too. Here is the solution guys - When you add any Indian debit card which has visa or mastercard logo , it deducted 80INR from your account. But you can't see any transiction for it. Paypal have no problems with it. Problems are for online statements and unmanaged debit card statements. You have to call customer care to get the number - But they asked too many questions. One asked me - What is paypal and why did it charged 80INR. Easy solution - Go to branch manager , ask him to get the detailed Offshore Electronic transiction. He will help you. After a lot of heck I verified mine one. Indian bank support is too much bad , they don't even know paypal/moneybookers , sometimes they rejected my google cheks too..
^^ oh ok. thanks so did the SBI branch manager give u the Paypal 4-digit pin? where is that mentioned? on Offshore Electronic transaction details? yea for me also the same thing happened around INR 82 was deducted by Paypal immediately. But the account statement doesn't have any PayPal pin mentioned.
You need to ask branch manager - Offshore Electronic Transiction details on the specified date when 82 INR deducted from your account. Thats it. Indian banks haven't provide yet the direct facility to show - Online transiction codes of debit cards, its stricted only to request via branch manager. Indian service always like snail..
dammit man i didnt get much help SBI is hopeless The bank manager sounded clueless when i talked about the Paypal pin/expuse number that should appear with the transaction details. He didn't know about "Offshore Electronic Transaction" details either :-O They have no clue about PayPal He took the details and said he'll submit it to SBI helpdesk and get back to me ... Sh!t!!! Is there any other term for "Offshore Electronic Transaction" ?? so confusing
Hi, is ur problem solved? Did u get the expuse number. If yes how.... I am also thinking to try my SBI debit card to verify paypal .. but need to make sure it works ..pls help
Hi mates,i am having the same issue as that of the guy who started this thread. I got an account with sbi,and i used sbi gold debit card with paypal and it got added to my account, Now the next issue is that of confirming the card by using the EXPUSE number the paypal send during transaction,so after a week of doing this,i looked at the statement, and i didn't find any EXPUSE number ,and i went to bank, and asked for a detailed statement, and it too didn't had any info about this number its really frustrating ,just curious about what happened at the end of the day of that guy who had the same problem as me
I am not sure if Indian debit cards (Irrespective of its type) come with verification codes. I guess, they are only associated with Indian Credit cards. The scenario is different in foreign countries like the US and UK and so on.
Just forget SBI banking. Use some private banking, I will get my money from paypal without any cards.
Nope. You can verify via SBI, but only cards with visa/ mastercard logo. If you are not able to get info from branch, just pm me or email me with account no & date of transaction at and i will email you the 4 digit expuse code. Vivek Godgift J State Bank of India Chennai
I HAVE USED a SBI yuva international debit card (verified with visa) to open a paypal account, thxx to Mr. Vivek (getverifiedpaypal@statebank.org.in) who mailed it to me. So Indians can use a debit card after all! Kudos to Mr. Vivek!!!
