Hello, I'm looking for solid hosting aimed at developers. Basically I just need a place where I can store and test my own personal scripts and scripts for my clients to be able to see and play around with. This means the hosting must NOT be aimed at newbies. What I mean is custom control panels aimed at things like "making databases easier" when in reality they make a developers life a nightmare. I prefer CPanel(11)/VistaPanel but as long as the panel is developer friendly it doesn't matter. Basic necessities I'm looking for: * PHP 5.2.6 (Latest) * MySQL 5.X (Prefer unlimited databases) * PHPMyAdmin * Optional shell access (SSH) (Willing to pay extra) * 2+ FTP Accounts * 2+ Parked domains * A few sub-domains * 1gig+ Of Space * CHEAP! I'm not looking to host my own website. This will be for development purposes only therefor my requirements are minimal and should be cheap. Well generally all people need to know is space since the ratio for space > bandwidth is pretty common. Bandwidth isn't much of an issue. I'd say anywhere from 20-25gig but I really don't care if the plan is good.

the answer to all of this is yes, they have all these requirements filled and are included with each plan.
1) I don't see any of those details listed. 2) As far as I can tell there's no live pre-sale support. 3) The knowledgebase is practically empty 4) There's no reviews Not something I really want to invest my money into.
If you go to the shared page, located here it does list those features, minus shell. live support is provided either by submitting a ticket or contact them via messenger which can be provided from me, im a sales rep for them. The knowledgebase is empty as most questions are asked via messenger. there are no big sites that has a review, but they just got a review from a client which can be located here so, technicaly its not a waste. if you would like i can have sites that they host to tell you about the hosting service.

Main problem you will find with Cpanel powered hosting services is that, unless you are running a VPS or dedicated server on your own, most of the shared hosting services have turned off certain features that are required by PHP developers and that you can't control unless you play with .htaccess, but even then, if this option is disabled by server settings you will not be able either. Personally I develop tons of project at my hosting account at www.servage.net, visit the site to find all what they offer plus I can tell you by own experience you can turn on an off PHP safe, PHP GD safe, Globals, htaccess and more at your sole convenience from an easy to use control panel. i think you should go with free hosting, because if you just want to test your script and do not want to launch site, then its useless to pay, i know one free hosting site that have been for more than 2 years and have excellent uptime so far, but they provide only 800mb space and some around 10gb bandwidth, which i think is more than sufficient for testing the script, if you want to signup for free hosting, here is the link http://novahost.org if you want shell access, then you need to post in there forum and ask admin to give you access, he may or may not charge you for shell access. i hope this will help you for your site.
