I pay my affiliates 75% - so I only make about $5.50. It's still a good chunk of change. Plus some of that 8,000 sales came before I had affiliates to help me. - Plus I also have a huge list from it that I use for backend sales. So I should still be able to afford my ramen noodles for a while :)

That is a great success story. I fixed my Atari 2600 but I do not think there is much of a market for the knowledge. :)

If he sold 100% through affs, he made a deal more than that :)

I can't complain - I also have a list of about 10k from it. That's worth quite a bit on it's own if it's used right.

I'm trying to get my son into it. He's just starting High school - but he also has aspirations of becoming a game creator. I'm trying to get him into the internet marketing thing, so that maybe he can help pay for his own college. He's very tech savvy, but doesn't have a lot of patience right now. I'm hoping that he'll give it a try, and make a sale, so that he can see what it's like. - Plus he's just about to the age where he can get an after school job. So I'll tell him to give this a try - or go get a job! lol

Good luck with your son in college. Maybe one of his future games will become your retirement plan!

That is awesome, I would never have thought that you would have sold anywhere near that many units.

I wonder what the combined total for that type of product was over the last 18 months

I wonder if this niche is still hot enough to make my own product/site for... I learned alot of different techniques and certain ways to fix certain errors. I could easily advertise it as a permanent fix because I had about a 2% call back ratio off all the 360 repairs I did. Regardless, their xbox will last a hell of a lot longer than 60 days so the refund rate would be extremely low.

Oh yes - There's definitely still room for some more players in this field - I aint greedy. Get in on it while you can. You can always affiliate my product to test the waters :)
