They are by far the richest computer company in the world, and completly changed the way we live today. It also has given many people jobs and helped buisnes's all around the world. I think it is great and so is Bill Gates.
I don't think Microsoft is overated. They do deliver what they're saying. Maybe in some case like Vista people believe they don't. But I sure they will fix it all the problem they have because they have a good financial to spend.
i think ms is only impeded by their ego. they didn't think the internet thing would take off and got way behind in the 90's.
i never said they're overrated. i just said they're impeded by their ego. they could've taken over the internet but AOL & yahoo had it early on and now google has it. i'm a big proponent of Vista per my posts in other threads here.
I will switch to linux or mac before going to vista. Better security without the need of any security software. Rob
does it really matter? the reason they're the biggest is not because they are the best but because they are very good at business. Especially at taking out the competition.
I agree, these are 2 separate things, although, Microsoft gained most of its success by good work, and clever tactics, may be more in the beginings, but Microsoft still Microsoft, and has a ego of course.
I think it is over rated, everyone just uses it because it is compatible with everything and cheaper. I like mac way more...
I personally think Vista is underrated. People judge Vista without even using it. Damn you Mac users! Stupid propoganda! Microsoft? Hmm. Its not overrated.

That's a very good point kingofsanda. Microsoft really has no competition. But, it might pretty soon. Linux is becoming popular. So you never know.
I think why vista has bad ratings is because of all the errors it had when it first came out. They should have tested it more before they released it.
