It's amazing how well designed Google is and how much planning and forward thought goes into making their applications user friendly and customizable. I never knew that this was even an option with Gmail or Google home and search pages! I really would like to get into that company and learn at the feet of the masters as it were.

I don't think this was made by google. Someone has just made a new CSS for gmail, and the Stylish addon lets you use it.
