free domain name?

    Hey, im just wondering if theres any websites that offer free .net or .com domain names? if not can you recommend any cheap sites?

    register.com offers free domain for the first year. However, they charge around $30 for renewals.:(

    here is a the link to get a free .com from register.com

    Free domain from Register.com

    this will let you get a .com or .net(not sure about this) for the first year free($1.00 hold is put on your CC, which is dropped - only to validate it)

    you have to keep the domain with them for 60 days then you can transfer it :D

    we did this several time with different domains.

    u can get the domain not free in every sense .if u were looking for the totally free domain then u can try out www.co.cc where they were giving free domain but with co.cc extension.

    Right, you could do this in a day easily.

    Im assuming you are quite young so you don't have a credit card to buy from godaddy or anything. So use Namecheap so you can use paypal without a credit card.

    Just go into BST and do forum posting untill you have $10. Its good because its quick easy cash and you don't need to know anything :p

    There are some forums that provide free domain names in exchange of the points that you earn for posting. I don't remember their names but there are a lot of those. I think ddboard is one such forum.

    You can also earn some dollars by providing different services here on DP. :)
