Personally, I love .info. It is the second best for me. People wouldnt't be confused asking "Is your site a .com or .net?"
From my experience, .info domains only work with informational content (everything commercial will fade in front of a .com unless your info is a few years old and has tons of backlinks to it). Plus, it doesn't make sense spending hours to promote a .info, as it doesn't have the same value as a .com . Normally, the extension should not matter, but due to thousands of google spammers using cheap $1 info's, google has put a filter on them, and it's not a good idea to use a .info for a new site. Just my 2 cent.
Thanks everyone... awesome input, comments, etc. I hate slowing things down, but what are some good examples of a solid, good quality .info site? ...I have some projects that I want to get onto the web ASAP, and I'm not sure if it's smarter to do info/com/net (thought I guess this is a dumb question cause I should just buy all extensions)
