The US might of won it but Alicia Sacramone had two bad runs. She tried her best though, and I couldn't imagine the pressure she came under. There is a all around individual competition coming later on down the road. Hopefully a couple US gymnast can redeem themselves, and the team.
I thought about that...you're right. (poor girl) she had a 0.8 deduction (@ least) on both the beam and the floor that would have narrowed the gap significantly.

I did kind of make it sound like silver sucks lol. I agree silver is nothing to be ashamed of at all. I meant "redeem" as a personal goal for themselves, because they are gold medal caliber for sure, they just made minor mistakes that they normally don't make.
winning the silver was/is nothing to be ashamed of but I agree, you couldn't help feeling it was a big letdown to them. announcers even said so in not so many words.
