I'm still getting there. Online I don't make too much but as far as services goes I've been making $1,000 every once in a while, especially these past few weeks.
As a service provider (logo design), first month started making $3k (avg $4k+ now) because I already had some traffic coming to my site.. Non-service stuff, I've yet to reach a point where I'm making $1k a month from, but getting close.
I am still working on it I think it would take atleast one and a half year for me to this. I am still in trail & error phase.
Hey, how much do you charge for a logo and how long does it usually take you to make? Do you sell your services on DP? I'm not looking for a logo personally, I'm just interested in the service side of things as it seems to be quite profitable as a side to IM.
Difficult to tell. I'm doing stuff for my clients, turning lame on-line stores into good ones and helping out with some copywriting and off-line marketing. Basically, I hit the figure the first month I took up the contracts. As to my own projects, it is still a bit of a hobby. I don't really have the time to do anything for myself. I would estimate it took me more than 2 years, and to give an advice to newbies - make sure you pick the right niche. If you're in a wrong niche, it might as well take a lifetime to get to the 1,000 mark The sooner you realize that, the sooner you stop wasting your time!!! How do you manage to get anyone to sign up for a list? Givin' away free ice cream? I've tried that too - doesn't work!
I try many thing and lost some money. I finally join this forum and many people are offering service. I thing reather then other Service is the Good way to make money I also know some work link Directory submission, social bookmarking, article submission, yahoo answer etc. I think I'll start a threat about my service. Not now I'll go a week holiday for christmass will came back then try it. Hope I can make some money from this forum.
