    Hi Friends,
I would like to buy sports news from some reuters or some other website. I contacted "Thomson" reuters but they never bothered to reply back might be because my site is small and still growing. So are there any other places that can sell me sports news ???

Currently, I am using RSS feed but I think that's taking away traffic from my site.It would be good if you can tell of some cheap options as well.

    Thanks

what do you mean buy sports news?

you mean buy the rights to rebroadcast their sports news, analysis, and video?

or are you trying to find a way to have access to the "sports wire" so to speak so you can get the news instantly.

If that is the case, I would recommend watching ESPN all day, and signing up for their SMS service and such. Because obviously they are the best and they have all the stories.

You wouldn't be allowed to rebroadcast their news, however once the news was public domain you could certainly report on the same stories.

i.e if there was a story about a football player breaking their leg and it was broadcast on ESPN, you could then write an article about it. You'd have to ensure that it wasn't *too* similar and obviously couldn't use their images but the jist of the story should be fine.

    Richard,
But I would like to have that as an automate process instead of spending time finding news and writing articles everyday.

I thought that's what reuters did i.e. sell it to other sites and get money from them.

Ahh, that makes sense. I was responding to your post in reply to rebtl

Have a search for "syndicated sports content" unfortunately I've not used any but perhaps syndicatedsport.com or www.pa-sport.com would be able to help?

Hmm, if it helps, my agency provides news via RSS. News are customized based on your niche and are original/fresh. Fee depends on the frequency and number of news items :)

Forget it. Alot of these news agencies will sell their articles for $100 miniumum each and alot of time you have to remove them from your site after 30-60days.

Not worth it. Better off paying someone to rewrite articles off major news sites for $5 a pop.
