I need of some serious advice!

To start off, I am currently 17. I have been making an average of $100 a day off CJ under my moms name. She originally said it was ok, but now since I am sitting on a large amount of cash she is reluctant to recieve the money because it puts her in a new tax bracket and it could jeopordize my sisters $50,0000 scholorship/financial aid. I was then thinking about finding a way to get permission to have it under my name, but then it could jeopordize MY future financial aid. So right now all the money is in limbo and I don't know what to do! I definately need financial aid but I also don't want all that money to go to waste. Any serious advice would be appreciated!

First solution: Apply an offshore bank account, ask CJ to post an check to your offshore bank , avoid the income tax, nobody knows

Second solution: Leave my money on your CJ account, it won't gone

Third solution (put into consideration): put your earnings to my account, I can pay you back by paypal

Fourth solution: apply an Paypal account without bonding with your bank account, then ask CJ to pay directly into your Paypal account, also can avoid tax, nobody knows, but this kind Paypal account has too much limitations, so it is not convenient

Thanks for your suggestions, I had not thought about an offshore bank!
I was also thinking about the third option, I'd like to talk to you about it, and maybe give you 1/4 the earnings or some other rate for your help.

I hope you're reply wasn't meant to be serious. None of those options are feasable.

The whole point of financial aid is to AID those who need it. To AID those who are NOT earning money.

Having your cake and eating it is bad karma dude.

    Hey friend!

First of, do not listen to any who doesn't understand the US laws on this forum. Just dismiss them.

Your mom should not worry. Unless you make more than $400 a year there is no real jeopardy. You are not supposed to pay taxes (if you live in the US) unless you earn over $400 a year.

You are an honest guy, I assume, I would suggest that you would not make more than $400 a year untill your are 18 and then you are on your own and you can make as much as you want afterwards. Just be patient. 18 is coming soon.

But for now, please, respect your mom's decisions, ok?

Well, so, he is not 18. He is a kid and should live under his parents' authority. Also, he has no right on that income. Any problems?

Oh, wait, in India or Asia he has that right. Your kids slave there for nothing. The last time I checked, minors in the US should not be able to get any income illegally.

Do you get it my Indian/Asian friends? This is the US. Please, do not advise him to do your stupid things, please?

There are so many things wrong with that statement I don't know where to start. First off, obviously if my sister has such a large financial aid, there is a reason, and thus, I am equally as affected by that reason. Of course no one wants to hear my personal life, so I won't go into why I am so QUALIFIED and why I need this financial aid. However, you say because I am earning money I do not deserve aid? I worked my ass off for this money; I could of been like all my other friends and not given a shit about finances and just rely on parents/financial aid. I suppose you would also want me to say not work when I get older, and simply live off welfare? Please leave your ignorant comments away from this thread if you do not even intend to help.

By the way, moderators, this is the original comment. How did this 17 y.o. kid become this mature dude assaulting my opinions, I don't know! - you can decide!

I just want you to know, moderators, if I am banned for my absolutely correct remarks, I will sign up again to expose those who trash your forum, like this "17 y.o. innocent kid" with bogus posts. I can do that. That's my constitutional right - do you have anything against this, dudes???

What a crook this kid is!!!

I could reply immaturely and be an ass like you, but since I already reported you for spamming/racism I feel there it is not unnecessary. Apparently you were too busy trolling the forum to realize what was being asked:

My "mommy" is not taking money and I do not understand what part of my post you are trying to mock.

I'm not sure if that was a threat, but I'll take it as one. If you were referring to my signature, there are actually FOUR sites, and one is the affiliate site. So I'm not really sure how to respond to this, except that next time you should actually count.

I think you should seriously grow up instead of venting your anger at this forum for not making any money. But I guess if it makes you happy...

Actually there was nothing wrong with that comment.

If you come from more stricken circumstances than most you get aid. If you manage to pull yourself up and out of it then you don't get aid. By saying you are so qualified you remind me of people who adopt a victim mentality that holds them back despite the help that should be moving them forward.

Yes, you could have sat around and done nothing but you chose to be motivated and to make change happen and the rewards extend far further than getting aid or not.

By providing for your family (and not just yourself) you are contributing so much. Let your Mum access the money, use it for your education and your sisters.

I think that the best solution is to receive it under one of your friends or relatives name , A body who can you trust
If i were you , i would have received it under my gf name :D

    BTW
Great post and i completely agree with you however, in his case it shouldn't be one man's decision

Unfortunately, it would still bump up my mom's income to the next income bracket, and thus I may not be able to get financial aid.

Also, I just talked to my mom's accountant and she also is not sure what I should do.

Making $100 a day is not worth missing the $xx,xxx for financial aid. This money is almost a burden :(

If you're profiting $100/day, that's somewhere around $27,000 after taxes. Will you lose your entire financial aid package, or just part of it? Speak to a financial aid consultant, I know there are some people who specialize in that field and can tell you the best course of action.

I plan on calling a local university and asking what their financial aid threshold is tomorrow. I can't even just "not get paid" by CJ, because every dollar is being reported, whether or cashed or not. This is quite frustrating.
