One of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do was sit while other criticized my work. But after it’s all over and the smokes cleared it is the single thing that has helped me more than anything else. I’d like to get some insight or how I can make http://wristbands.geeksonsteroids.com/ a better landing page. The rest of the site is crazy and out of control so ignore it, please. I’m looking for insight into what the site visitor sees. I tried building a page that only had one option for the visitor but as I tried to make it look better I ended up adding lots and lots of places for the visitor to go. I’m working on changing that now. I want to build a landing page, so for the time I’m only worried about getting this page to convert. However if you want to talk about the SEO aspects I can start making those changes as well. I’m no writer and the sales copy currently sucks so I’m willing to make changes there as well. Be tough on me. The tougher the better. Thanks
The site looks good, just you could use a better branding, don't like the logo looks like a template and it is like science related,
Their also seems to be a lot of people that do not like the cartoons. Guess I need to try and do something with the little cartoon guys. But I really liked them.
Personally, I like the little cartoon guys. They pull your eye down to the next section of content. I like the bracelets at the bottom better than the ones in the banner, tho. Also, you might want to consider building your next page with css instead of tables. I agree with Inzpiration about the logo. You're missing some alt text. Other than that, the page looks clean and colorful. Overall, an inviting page.
Thanks, maybe I can get more people that like them and I'll feel better about keeping them. I'll play a little with logo and top bracelets.
Agree with everyone else about the logos. To me, visually it appears as if there are two conflicting logos that compete for your attention. Also the four boxes dont seem to be in the same style/character as the cartoons below, it just seems to be sending me conflicting messages.
Trying to figure something out on the logo now. I've removed the cartoon guys and made a mouse over effect for the banners.
Hey! you changed the logo! Great! I looks much better now, well done Janeth. The site looks great now.
Personally, I'd kill everything after step 3. Nobody, well maybe 1%, will read all that stuff below. Think about what you want people to do on your site. You want them to buy a bracelet right? Giving them an encyclopedia of information is not going to get them to do it for a rubber bracelet. The picture you have of them on top was half the battle. Steps 1,2, and 3 show how easy it is to order, now let the site do the work. Look for ways to help them buy, not help them decide.
The colors are great on this page but it does seem a bit cluttered. What if you implemented some CSS Tabs so all the info was on like 5 tabs in different sections? just an idea
I'm hoping no one gets past number 3 but I wanted to feed the search engines a little so I put a little extra text after the call to action in hopes of giving the search engines a little food. I hate for them to get hungry.
