It is for the admin or mods to decide the number of posts that can be celebrated. As suggested by wisdomtool, 1, 2, 5 or 10k posts is okay for celebration imo, but what the decision makers think is anybody's guess
The last time I read, CR wasnt very happy about such threads, but I can't dig out that post. But most of such posts are spammy in nature. I had read some, which said that it is a good opportunity for them to increase post counts by posting congrats.....

people posting the threads because they want share their milestone with us.I think that may be the reason.

May I point you to the first post where the OP had already stated his stance and reasons for posting this thread. It might be instructive to read through the entire thread before posting. A lot of times doing so will save you from embarrassment and also from flaming.
Why you were having problem?If mods and admin is not having any problem then why to you only.They are posting these threads becasue they want to share happiness.
I doubt the mods are really happy about those 100 posts self congratulatory threads. I have personally seen a few such threads being closed. A lot of posters of "congrats" arent really keen on celebrating with the OP except to increase their post counts.
Yes people are here to increase the post count.I think they should do the post when they will complete the 1000 posts 2k or 5k something like that.
well.. to be frank.. some feel proud and post those type of threads and some people post it to increase their post number.
I don't blame you bro. I've been there... but when you get to the Spirit Walker World and Above for sure you will love the feeling.... for me it's not all about "POST COUNTS" For me it's about Sharing and Learning. And also if I ask a lot and share a lot then I learn a lot.
