    or

2.use different keywords in ONE ARTICLE?If yes..how many different keywords should be used in one article?Am i in the right direction? Is this thing called keyword research for SEO?PLs tell me what u think?also if i m wrong pls correct me:confused:

I think you are not clear in your target. First think about ur site and it's categories. As you said there are different keywords targeting different sectors. Then take these sectors make your site category. like best honeymoon places, best beaches, best hill stations etc.

Then use wikipedia or any other resources to get list of beaches or any thing around the world in particular country. Then try to post articles on different beaches available in the particular country. By these you get unlimited resources to post and you cud target maximum keywords.

Suppose you go for beaches in USA. Then take few popular beaches after the research in Google. Then write articles on them. And try to use keyword including beach name, city in which beach available, city name and many more keywords according to requirement.

This wud give you more support because by this you cud get maximum traffic for low competitive keywords. As you know in starting it is very difficult or almost impossible to get results for highly competitive keywords by articles. So this is the best way to start.

I hope that you got what i want to explain..........................

If you are using articles to target keywords, then the keywords should be the one that is being target on the website. At the most, you should not be targeting more than 20 keywords for a website (will vary depending on the website and the number of internal pages). So if you are targeting, say x number of keywords, then it would not make much sense to target any different keywords in your articles. By doing so, you will be diluting your own efforts. Once you have achieved top rankings for the targeted keywords, you may look to expand your keyword portfolio.

    Here's what I do:

I build a list of keywords - things I think that people will search. Then I use a keyword suggestion tool (that one in particular), and I find more related keyword phrases. I take note of the number of times they're searched. This is recorded in an excel file.

Next, I go into google and search these phrases (it's always better to target keyword phrases over single keywords). I take note of how many results turn up. In the top right it says something like:
Results 1 - 10 of about 1,320,000 for keyword. This gets recorded in the next cell (labeled "competition").

Now, you know how many people are searching your particular phrases, and you know how many sites come up for that phrase (your competition).

So, you want to find the most frequently searched phrase with the least amount of competition.

Then, when I find a few good keywords, I search them again, and check out the top 3 competitors. I check their site to see if they have these keywords in their page names, in their title tags, in h tags and in bold. Then I check their backlinks. Do they have a lot (a lot more than you)? Are they relevant, and do they contain your keyword text in the anchor. Here's a great tool to view a competitor's backlinks.

Now you should have a good idea if you'll be able to rank well against these other sites... and you'll know which keywords you'll be able to rank well for.

PS - for any page on your site, you should only target one or two keyword phrases - 3 MAX.

But you can't set a limit (20???) of the amount of keywords you target on your site - that really depends on how many pages and different themes you have. Some sites have 8 pages, others have 800,000.
