Hi, I have not tried PayPal Money Market Fund but i am very interested on it. Few questions to anyone who have already used it. Is there a good chance on getting more money then u invest? Do i have to be 18 year old? Other info i need to know would be good as well Thanks
It is less than 3%... you can do a lot better in other types of investments! If you want a money market open up short term CDs with your local credit union and move the money into them.
Do you really get 2.31 % interest over a period of 7 days? If you invest 10,000 that's $231 made in a week. Here is the link to more information on the paypal money market https://www.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=_upgrade-interest-marcom&outside=1
you guys keep on thinking of making money. Money markets lets you loose money as well. If you read the fine print you will see: "we're not responsible for loss. Users on average report an average earnings of 2.31%"
With any investment, there is always the possibility of a risk of losing your money. As they say, the higher the risk, the higher the returns. Yes, you most certainly need to be over the age of 18 years old to invest in the Paypal Money Market and as it is only opened to Paypal Members in the US, you would be assumed to be so as you need to be 18 years and older to sign up for a paypal account in the first place.
You Sir are wrong, I've been in the Paypal money market for over a year now and I get payment from it like once ever 3 or 4 months. Not every week.
I made $0.30 off $200 in 1 week. 2 years ago though. I am interested to hear more people input on this.
Well, if you read the Prospectus, you should find all the information you need. https://www.paypal.com/en_US/pdf/PayPal_Prospectus.pdf As for the payout according to the prospectus, it reads
Remember folks risk and reward are strongly tied in. Anything that would pay 2.31% weekly would have to be quite risky.
