How come updates only come at a certain time? Do the bots need to collect data for all the stats that make up a PR for a certain period before they can make an update?
i think the update happens all the time ie daily or hourly not just a certain period of time. the update where you see is called OFFICIAL UPDATE ie where you see the result of work but the actual working on update was there...
That is correct. Updates happen every time Google crawls your site and they make the changes internally. You can only view your new PR when Google does their official update which occurs every three months or so.
Google just randomly chooses time when PR update becomes visible - and that is when your toll bar value changes.
Updates happen whenever Google crwals your site. But you come to know about it after the official update which happens once in a while. I ahve no idea of the requency of Official PR Update
The OFFICIAL GOOGLE PR UPDATE happens every three to four months. You can check it through your GOOGLE PAGE RANK tool bar.
The information used to calculate PR updates all the time and so does PR itself. There is unlikely to be a single point in time at which Google will know it has finished calculating the PR for a page - the process is continually ongoing.
Google constantly checks and updates the baclinks.. Now its upto them when they officially update the PR.
