Russia + America Relations

I just read this on UK bbc news:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7553144.stm

Do you think if Russia continue their fight against Georgia America might step in?

It's slightly worrying to think of what would happen if America did step in.

I don't know what could happen or what's up with America, but the rest of the world rejoices watching the days of Druggy Bush are closer to an end

Have you seen Dick on TV. He's such a crook.
I live in LA and can assure you the public here won't support a single soldier to be send to Georgia. Especially after finding out the criminal war Georgia started against the Ossetians.

I don't really know what America - Geogia relations are like, can't say I know anything about Georgia at all to be honest or even why Russia are involved with them, something needs to be done to stop the violence though.

Knowing what Russia is capable of, America won't step in. It could lead to a problem which could be a million times bigger than what they have right now with Iraq war.

I don't want America to meddle in other people's businesses everywhere.
It is just not doing any good for America.

More and more people start hating America.

hahahahahahahaa! america attack somebody that can fight back? LOL...the american mercenary army has a huge problem when big strong opponents are concerned: courage ...russia aint some 3rd world defenseless country where the good old boys can drop some bombs and bully the civilians in to submission LOL...im sure there will be lots of tough talk...but for the US to invade russia there is one substantial problem: the US army is a mercenary army consisting of people who are there because they had no better place to go...its not an army of righteousness and ideals, its actually a 1200$+/month thug job = the US government apparatus for physical violence...any mention of war with russians would result in adult nappies being handed out for US troops...

one day i hope all countries have big big nukes...you are not free if somebody else has a bigger gun like the USA has taught us...

One more time: Russia is not attacking, if we were to attack and declare a war against Georgia, it would have finished by now.

And yes if US steps in Russia will not step back.

Amazing posts. You guys think that Russia is willing to fight a nuclear war over Georgia?

If Russia and the USA fight a full scale war, every man, woman, and child in much of the world die.

There's no way any of this is happening over this incident.

if our soldiers were cr*p Russia wouldnt be the biggest country in 21 century.

true, some people think that Russia attacks Georgia on a full scale war))) While British Petroleum denies georgian statements that Russia is bombing their pipelines.

US supports Georgia not only with weaponry, but even with uniform. Again, go and find out more.

you can call Bush and tell him to support Georgia.

This is not true at all. While some do join for the college tuition assistance, training and other items, money is rarely the deciding factor.

Many go in because they want to serve their nation, many come from families who have served generation after generation. To call the US armed forces 'mercenaries' is simply idiotic.

'1200$+/month thug job' you do realize most soldiers could make more than that in the private sector do you not? $1200 a month is not very much at all when it comes to the US.

Gee, what an ignorant post

The US military does not consist of men that had no place to go. My cousin, and many friends have joined to serve the country. It's not about the money. $1200 a month? c'mon! and I do believe America has fought Russians before? Am I wrong? hm?

I guess you are wrong.:) Both countries scared to go in direct conflict, cos both have nukes. Thats why US is fighting Russia through the middle men, like it was first in Afganistan and now Georgia.
