Hi, I am sick of not being able to promote products because they are crap. It really gets irritating after a certain point. I wanted to promote "Satellite TV For PC" but after looking up several discussions on forums I see that most people claim its total crap. I know I could make a lot of money promoting the software but I simply cannot after reading so much negative feedback about the product. So it really makes me wonder how much crap there really is on Clickbank. So here's my straightforward question: How many of the products on Clickbank do you guys think are crap?
I agree with you! Go to cb-analytics, go to new products, and check the products released in the past month. 95% of them have a gravity of 0, I was amazed how some of them even had a gravity below zero (i.e -0.6). Only 5% of the products manage to have some kind of success, and a large percentage of those that sell, are actually crappy. also, how to you get a gravity below zero, does it mean that the few sales you had went on to be refunded later on thus bringing the gravity below zero?
I was saying 90% of the products that sell are crap. If you look at all of the ones that don't sell... Well it's probably about 90% too. To be honest, I think the quality of the products has very very little to do with what sells and what doesn't sell. I've found that many of the biggest selling products on CB are absolute complete junk and some of the ones that sell very little or not at all are actually quite good/informative. I mean... literally most of the very best selling products on CB are absolute complete nonsense. I could name them off one by one, but... *shrugs* I figure most of the people here are bright enough to see that for themselves. What makes a CB product sell or not sell is the quality of the marketing, not the quality of the product. Of course as affiliates, lets be honest, what we care about is what sells No one here will care if my diet product is 10X the product that 4idiots is (it is by the way) all they care is will it convert as well? (unfortunately I am nowhere near as confident on that) ... Again: It's the marketing - not the product.
There's a lot of crap on Clickbank. I think this is the worst: http://www.crackthecancercode.com/ An Ebook on how to beat cancer. What a load of shit. Anyway, it comes down to what is more important to you, your morals or money. And if you have a high moral standard, then you'll be hard pressed to find a clickbank product you can believe in and make it convert.
That's pretty low. I suppose there's always been folks selling snake oil of various types for various things - admittedly I think that's what most CB products are in some way or another - but something about snake oil for a fatal disease is just a bit too much.
Exactly, I'd be too embarrassed to show ads for most of these products on my websites. Perhaps I'd have a different mindset if I was more into PPC. The major PPC providers seem more than willing to take anyone's money to show these sleazy type ads. I guess there motto is: it's buyer beware, sucka!
lololol bahahaa no comment except the obvious - BAHAHAA I'll see your 98% and raise it to 99.9% but that .01% is DAMN sexy N
I have yet to see a clickbank product I'd buy myself. Perhaps I'd buy the abs one. I'd probably buy forex brotherhood too, perhaps another forex software package. Not seen anything else though.
Generally, the sales page of each product ends up being better than the product itself. Having said that good enough products would be put for sale elsewhere.
Yeah most of the products are total BS, however as Norb said, there some products, which are really worth looking into.
Every product has to do what the sales page says. If it doesn't then the vendor is lying and Clickbank would get into very big trouble with trading standards.
You have to ask yourself one question “How the hells can one place pump out so much S**Tâ€...... I would say there must be millions of pages out there full of click bank spammy scammy crap
Yeah I have to agree the majority of the stuff on there is crap. In any given category there may be 2 or 3 original products and the rest all knock offs. But yeah at CB it doesn't matter what you're selling as long as you can get ppl to pay for it.
This is how some smart affiliates make money. They spot a good product with a crappy sales page buy it, redo the salespage and redesign it, add bonuses, add 6 day ecourse, add a OTO and bam. This is how I have observe the trend at CB within the last six months, I saw it with water4 gas products and of late biodiesel and energy saving products. Its the same stuff rehash over and over. So it is the marketer with better convincing salespage wins.
