All I can offer here is that the one page I looked at with a link to an article I dug, there is no rel="nofollow" in it.
That suggests to me that you would get a backlink.

As far as i know..a backlinks does count even if its no follow...the only diff is that no follow will not let any pr juice flow..

Correct me if i am wrong!!

The no followed links are indeed regarded as backlinks but with just one difference that they will not pass PR to the sites they point to.

I think the whole "No Follow" tag was introduced by google, so it has no impact on Yahoo, MSN, etc anyway

Is PR really as important as ya'll make it out to be? A back link is a back link, it brings users to the site.

I'm sorry, I'm looking at Digg right now: upcoming and popular.

I don't see a single "nofollow" tag on any link.

Why do people keep saying Digg is "nofollow?" Did you hear that somewhere and never bother to check for yourselves? Its right in the source.

    DIGG FOLLOWS. End of debate.

Yes you're correct, the link is nofollow, and no PR is passed, though even for Google the anchor text of a nofollow link is still proven to count.

Submitting to Digg purely for the direct link is completely missing the point of linkbaiting though.

Digg is no follow but you can receive lots of traffic if you submit interesting article.
