The UN forces are there and according to resolution 1701 they are supposed to stop hizbullah from being armed by syria and iran. Guess what? Hizbullah is now 10 times stronger, the UN thinks they are there for a "miss universe 2008" contest and do nothing but fooling around! They say they are doing their job. You think they are honest? They do nothing. The UN we have today is worth *.
The UN is like a broken clock. Even a broken clock is right twice a day - and is wrong the rest of the time. Most countries feel the same about the UN. When the UN agree with what you are doing, countries tout its support. When the UN does not agree, countries ignore it and claim it has no value. It is all true. It is a joke of a world body. That being said, it is a necessary evil because it does at least provide a forum to, in theory, discuss issues facing the worlds nations in a productive manner. Nobody would allow their own country to suffer by following the dictates of the UN when it is not in their national interests. This goes for Russia, the US, Iran, Israel, etc. And yeah, the UN is biased, because its members are biased. Just because they sit in a building called the UN does not make them better than they are as individuals and nations.

I dont deny arm sales. Israel is selling only defensive weapons to Georgia. And here is the stinky part from the Russians Israel was selling weapons to Georgia. Russia asked Israel to stop.
