What makes Obama better. What bills has he introduced? What does he stand for that he he will not flip flop on. How do you support him? Money? Campaigning?
One can support a candidate simply by voting for him......... Since he no longer is running I support his message. While he was running I sent his campaign money, I voted for him and I also spread his message in political discussions.
I like Ron Paul. I have some hesitations about him, but much less than Obama or McCain. Not many people in the "real" world seem to like him though, his popularity seemed to be mainly online. I don't want to skip voting, that's why I feel like I have to pick one. I decided to go with McCain, who I have serious doubts about. Isn't it better to at least choose one, than not vote at all? Obama comes across to me as very insincere, I get the feeling he would just say anything to get elected. With McCain, he is not that impressive, but at least somehow he seems more genuine. I worry though about government having too much power. I blogged recently about this drug bust where the police did not even have a no-knock warrant, they completely disregarded that and broke into a suspects home. The people had 2 black lab dogs that were not being aggressive but were running away from the police. The police shot their dogs dead "just in case" they cause any problems. The people turned out to be completely innocent and were not even involved in drugs in any way. They are seriously grieving the unnecessary death of their dogs, and I completely empathise with their pain. They did nothing wrong and were brutalized in their own home by the police. There has been no disciplinary action, and the police refuse to even apoligize. Would our rights be more in jeopardy with McCain? I don't know, maybe. I wish we had better choices. But yeah, if Ron Paul were nominated, I would vote for him.
I liked his(Paul's) views on the economy. I thought for sure he would be a front runner and there would be a battle for the nomination. I was surprised the everyone liked McCain an that McCain won without a battle. Why did so many people jump on the McCain bandwagon?
Paul got accused of things that were not true, plus not much air time in the debates at all. Rudy got turned on for his 2nd amendment rights stance which was very weak, the Huckster was a bit too religious, plus had some real skeletons in his closet, Romney 'to me' and others appeared like a real flip flopper and a bit too fake. McCain was left, now those who once said they would never support him are supporting him. My take on it at least.
I'm not even a Yank but Ron Paul was the last chance America had to save itself. Because the current system is so utterly corrupt he never stood a chance from the beginning but he stood for everything that is right, while the current idiots in the running for President stand for everything that is wrong.
Wait, grim... you said ron paul pulled out? AGS, I disagree with you man I think his impact and everyone that has centered around that cause and causes similar to that are becoming more and more powerful by the day
Last I heard he pulled out a long, long time ago. Unless I'm wrong? http://uk.reuters.com/article/usPoliticsNews/idUKN1239442320080613
I support Ron Paul. And yes, he pulled out of the presidential primary (because he lost). I'm not sure, but I think he also said he wouldn't run again (which is rather depressing).
He was the only one I liked. Too bad he pulled out long time ago. He just lacked attention from the media.
There is gonna be a storm in the Republican National Convention in September... Paulunteers are taking over... Prepare for it...
Ya, I remember him putting out a video about this... which is making me say, wait is he still running or no?? do you have any info on the date of that convention?
Yes... September 1 to September 4 in Minneapolis-Saint Paul! Here's the video... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T3DBSrOUic8
I still see mud on him from the magazine issue. Everything I see smells of "christian identity" that was the biggest issue I have with him. No matter how much his supporters scream that it wasn't him writing it in his magazine, he can't just pretend he didn't know.... I have seen too much of the neo-nazi movement to just put on the blinders.
