You like McCain hate Russians. For you even when a bloody knife is sticking out of the back of a Russian, it is still his fault.

You should be ashamed of yourself for such thinking.
Get the facts first and if you have brains in your head make honest and fair conclusions. ... You can try.

Georgia didn't even declare war so the civilians get out of harms way, but like mean SOB's bombed apartment buildings killing hundreds of civilians.
Up to now more than 1500 Russian citizens have been killed. This is nothing, but a terrorist war criminal act against its own people.
Russia should not stop until those responsible for the masacre are caught and brought to court in RUSSIA.

It is a shame for the west to side one more time with war criminals and terrorists.

Russia had an agreement to remove its troops from Georgia in 2008. How convenient a war just suddenly happened when they were supposed to be pulling their troops out for good.

Georgia has oil pipelines which bypass the Russian federation's far reaching hands.

Russia is busy grabbing control of an oil pipeline corridor. They are annoyed at Georgia for asking for a membership in NATO because they lose their control over the world's oil supply pipeline.

Putin doesn't give a dime about Russian citizens or green card citizen's of the Russian Republic. I'd give part of a country citizenship too....especially if it gave me total control over a pipeline system that could make me billions of dollars.

Putin is using innocent people's lives to gain control of a vital strategic oil route.....nothing more....nothing less.

While people are dying in the street.....Russia is counting their petroleum dollars. Oil for for innocent people's live's. What a wonderful leader Putin has become.

I can assure you, comrade, that I have more than sufficient brains in my head to form my own conclusions.

You're telling me the South Ossetia is not legally a part of Georgia? And that Russia has the right to mount an act of aggression on Georgian soil?

I think you're the one lacking the brains around here.

NATO is more of a paper tiger, UN will again be talking forever, the conflict will end even before UN finished their talks.

Just hoping that both countries exercise restraint for the good of their populations.

If Russia is still the same old Russia, I don't think that it will happen. Look at previous wars with Russia. The whole country sank into depression because of war and the leaders ego.

Few countries can stand up to Russia, they still have an extremely formidable armed forces despite the break up of the Soviet Union, they aren't a super power but certainly a mighty regional power.

The break up of the soviet union was a desision by Gorbachev. If they wanted to stay as the soviet union and (officially) communist it would be possible. They would just be hated globally.

They've got strength of numbers but their technology leaves a lot to be desired. Every week they fly bear bombers dating back to the 1960s towards Britain and every week a couple of our shiny new fighters drives them away.

I'm sure Georgia would be happy if that 90% of people pissed off back to their own country then.

I feel like I'm reading cold-war Soviet propaganda in this forum.

Bottom line, this is going to hurt Russia on the international stage. I'm not sure why more people aren't claiming "illegal war" already.

Lexiseek, I see US flag on your avatar. That's good. I just read in local news official position about Georgia from US side, and it says almost straight "We don't care, it's their business". I assume it maybe biased info, what west media says about it ? I mean after UN soviet and so on, so currently news.

And yes you are reading soviet propaganda here. But not cold-war. At least it's about politics. Illegal war ? I love that gaming with words:)

P.S. Russia will feel sorry for doing these, not a problem and will say "sorry". And yes it hurts for a short-term. In a long term that's only good move.
