Hi All, I have a requirement for a home page and content page design, the pages will not need to be wildly different so shouldn't require much work to create the second page. Prize is $200 to the winner via Paypal. Deadline is 13/08/2008. Design must be delivered in PSD format along with all fonts used. Graphics: Logo - Available in high res EPS format if required. Business Card (just for inspiration) Brief: Design needs to have a web 2.0 feel to it and be very clean and professional. Audience will be business professionals and small -> medium businesses. I think the standard header + 3 column layout would fit this site best. Content Page: Header Should contain the logo and a search box. Requires a navigation bar. There are three main themes on the site Create, Promote, Support with 3 or 4 links from each section making up the nav bar. See business card graphic for the three sections and associated pages. Also links to Search, About Us, Contact Us pages somewhere. Body left column for navigation mimicking the header nav bar, but with sub menu for additional pages. Below this there will be a News section with titles and short description. Middle column for content, title at top and a "Key Information" box with bullet points to contain short lists. right column to contain 1 ad graphic for "Free SEO Report + Quote" then a box similar to the news one in the left column but for "Resources". A Testimonials box and then another ad graphic for Get in touch/Contact us. Footer Standard footer stuff as well as breadcrumb navigation. Homepage: Header, footer, right column same as content page. No left column, the middle column expanded to take the place of removed left column. 5 content boxes required with associated graphics/header images. The content areas would be headed up; Create, Promote, Support, Contact Us and About Us. I was thinking 3 rows of boxes 2 on first row, 2 on second and 3rd row 1 box spanning the entire width. Please drop me a pm or post if you have any questions or queries. Good luck everyone and I look forward to your entires. Ned
AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! I had finished my first psd for the homepage, went downstairs and when I came back my computer had had a power blackout somehow and I had forgot to save my work!!! AHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!! Photoshop should get an autosave feature, now i have to start all over again, and I'd been up all night working on it!
i did that once spent about 7 hours doing work and i hadnt saved and then lightning strikes the power station - bye bye work - you learn from your mistakes
I'll probably join if I find the time for this But guys, seriously, how can you work for 7 hours and not hit the save button at least once? When I'm working on such a massive project I even keep backup copies in case the main file corrupts some how. It's a small chance but if it does happen it is a large price to pay.
I've done that! lol except I was working on a 3D project and when I handed it over to the client I forgot I had written "iM DrUnK HAHAHA" in 2nd grade handwriting all over the blueprints. ahem Anyways back on topic, I look forward to entering this contest =]
I'm guessing you're an American Anton, as you's have your dates in the mm/dd/yy format rather than the commonly used (In Europe) dd/mm/yy format, explaining why the date confused you, lol.
Here is my first part of my first entry (the Homepage), feedback is appreciated. http://www.anhalo.co.uk/divazzisample.html Note: Tried to make design fit in with your Business card design.
