The cheapest place to buy .co.uk names is from one of the most reputable company, Moniker has them for $6.95/year

I use 123-reg but there's a few others for about the same price, check Domparison (link is in my sig) if you want to find the cheapest

You can buy co.uk domains almost anywhere, including Name.com, Domainsite and Dynadot.

For GoDaddy, that is not among the cheaper registrars, you need a coupon but it seems those below $50 USD only work with TLD and not with country TLD's.

Remember that co.uk, org.uk and me.uk require 2-year registration as per Nominet regulation.

A friend of mine that runs a large XBOX forum has also recommended me UKreg.com and I would say that if you go for a British registrar, that sounds like the best matching solution, avoid at any price EasySpace.

One of my former ORG.UK domains was registered there at £4.50 per annum (yes, locale idiomatic expression) and at the third renewal they were asking me for £25 or £49 cancellation fee plus Nominet and other charges to get it transferred

Although, I did have one bad experience with UKREG. This is an extract from a letter from them dated 30th November 2007

I wouldn't use your main pass with them, you expect your details to be safe with a major company but apparently not.

After a long search in the internet and reading many forums at last I bought the domain name from daily.co.uk by £2.55 that means $4.7, I liked their control panel. I hosted the domain to godaddy with no problem. Thanks everyone for your suggestion.

Many suggested for namecheap.com, but they sell co.uk domain by $8.88/yr not very cheap. Moniker is a bit cheaper then namecheap, they sell by $6.95. 123-reg is ok, almost same as daily.co.uk selling by £2.79 equals $5.2, ukreg.com price is £2.95 for one year and many others found at google search was in fact a higher price.

I have used ukreg for years - for co.uks and org.uks (£2.95/year + vat). You have to be careful of hidden charges with some of the other uk registers.
