Obviously they rank better and turn into longer lasting profitable sites, so i've heard. Could a straight ahead review landing page work this way/how could I boost it? Would adding articles as content say at the bottom below the reviews increase the ranking? Or what other content could I add to increase ranking? Basically I hear people saying it's better to have an authority site, and I only have a vague idea of how to attain this while I'm putting together my single page review landing pages.
I have one! Wherever i search for my main keyword, my site appears #1 and with some links bellow description.
I have to disagree. An Authority site is a site google displays at #1 for a top search, including some more links bellow site name, description and url. eg: Not so much of those, but definitly not a "webmasters term".
You can read this post here http://www.thelazymarketer.com/blog/2008/05/09/whats-an-authority-site-exactly/ (it's not my blog) it should help explain things a bit
In my opinion an authority site is a site that provides lots of information. So to me this is liek a 50-100 page website, or a constantly updated blog. This provides lots of content, and has authority in its niche area (it won't get kicked off the front page by someone else just from some on page seo). This is not a landing page. The reason an authority site can make lots of sales, is that they have built up a large and returning reader base, and they have trust. THey also get lots of traffic. Its great to have an authority site, but it requires a lot more work and dedication.
