Well you really have to optimize on your SEO especially focusing towards a particular keyword for a niche. It will be hard to aim for that for exceptionally competitive keywords but you will stand a chance for less competitive long tail keywords.

 

it takes lot of time to reach that.. so.. first you have to be patient. And you have to build some strong backlinks to your site..

 

Backlinks, unique contents and SEO together can do it.

 

Several things you need to do

1. On page optimization. You need to determine which search phrases you want to rank for and optimize your webpage content for those keywords

2. Regularly and frequently updated content. The search engines do not want to serve stale content for any search query so they tend to favour sites that are frequently updated

3. Backlinks. A ton of backlinks to your site hopefully from sites in related niches and using keywords as your anchor link

I'd say backlinks are the most important factor. The more and more you get, the higher you will rank.
