Hi this is the type of free directories that sucks. Those that require both reciprocal link and human edited. I have bad experiences with thosedirectories and will not submitmy site to them. If you require reciprocal then approve it instantly, if you require approval then don't require reciprocal.

    Hello...

Well thats why your supposed to be choosy when selecting directories or hire a directory
submission service to take the frustration and time it takes out of your business. ;)

Some FREE directories have thousands of pending links and unless your paying or reciprocating back
then the chances of you getting listed in that directory are very slim to none.

I would concentrate on submitting to the newest free directories that come out so that your link gets
included quickly and before that directory goes paid review.

i not sure what you mean...

i build free blog directory and one paid directory... but what i see. If someone make a repricoal it will be at another page and not at front page... so i will reject that submission or sometimes will put repricoal link after one month he/her will remove it back...

    p.s : sorry bad english :p

Do these directories actually help in any way? Why submit to these tiny directories that give you no juice?

One I visited offered reciprocal links swaps, except they wanted a homepage link while only giving a deep link in return. So naturally I thought the directory was mega hot in some way, turned out it was a low PR effort, with hardly any links.

It shocked the heck out of me, but they didn't get a link so.

You'll get few to zero visitors from them. They are great for bumping up your link count though, so, yep, directories are a good option for doing that ;)

Truthfully, the directories I placed my link in only send me 1 visitor a month.

Just check your logs, that will help you make the right decision whether to keep using directories. Everything has gone niche and what hasn't soon end up charging rediculous fees for no benefit.

Everything half-decent went paid ages ago, so paying is the fastest, best way to traffic. Many don't want to pay full stop, but it's really unavoidable if you want good results.
