As you all know, custom domains hosted by Bloggger are no longer being crawled by Google. This has been going on since August 1st of 2008. This means that since that date, no new articles written by Blogger users using custom domains have received any traffic by Google for those articles. Note that all previously indexed pages are still receiving traffic. As time goes on, traffic for Bloggers using custom domains will continue to fall. This will ultimately turn people away from Blogger and overall, it will cause people to quit blogging. Google will ultimately lose money from its AdWords program and the Blogger program itself, will fail. If Google doesn't take whatever the problem is seriously, the above will happen. It's already happening and it has been the past week. Think about it, Google is passing up 'free' money everyday from Blogger users using Custom Domains. The less traffic that these blogs get, the less money Google makes. To get things back in order, Google needs to get custom domain crawling hosted by Blogger... back in order. In final note, it doesn't make any sense that the free .Blogspot.com blogs are being indexed just fine, when they're usually the 'spam' blogs. (You rarely see a spam blog with a custom domain.) Google must fix this issue. They're losing more and more money everyday and like I said, as people make less money blogging, they'll ultimately decide to quit. Thus, Google loses millions of dollars in 'free money.' Agreed?
I have a blogger blog on a custom domain for several months now. I can't believe this is true. Where did you get this information? Can you show us an official source?
Dude. It's been all over the forums. Give me the link to your blog and I will see if it's being crawled. However, my best bet is that you haven't had any of your pages after July 31st indexed or "recognized" by Google.
Hey StrongMinder. It's not true? Do you have a custom domain under Blogger? You're not being crawled either. And if you are, PROVE IT. See thread for more info: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=968799 PS: Before jumping into a post, do a little bit of research.
No way in hell this is true. If 1,000,000 people are reporting it, I'm sure 100,000,000 are still getting their blogs crawled. This would be a LOW-BLOW and NO WAY it would happen just because you're using a "custom domain". Just tested some blogs that I know are using custom domains and THEY HAVE BEEN CRAWLED AND ARE IN THE GOOGLE INDEX (new posts). Google is taking a crap right now with it's current updated algo... the people affected need to just see what's up. I've probably put in about 40+ hours of research into what exactly changed and still haven't gotten where I'd like to be (Sad, I know... but need to do it cause I don't rely on others to fix things).
Fka200 - Give me the links then. If you're correct, then it's my mistake. However, MANY PEOPLE have been reporting my same issue. Again, the issues are just revolving around CUSTOM DOMAINS under BLOGSPOT BLOGS! I see you're using Wordpress, which is probably why you yourself aren't having issues with being crawled.
If you guys don't believe me look for yourselves. Look at some Custom Domain Blogs under Blogger Hosting. No article will be indexed past July 31st - some reporting past August 1st.
This post reminds me of "The Big Earthquake Is Gonna Happen" because it has yet to rain two days in a row type of story.
Your post titled "Security by obscurity never worked" was written August 5th. I looked it up on google and came up with this. Your search - http://www.ziphone.org/2008/08/security-by-obscurity-never-worked.html - did not match any documents.
My god are you guys all a bunch of fools? Somebody prove to me that you know of a Custom Domain via Blogger that has been indexed After August 1st. If you can't do this w/ all of the blogs available on the web, then I am purely correct.

Wow... OK. Guess I won't post the rest which ARE VERIFIED TO BE IN THE SERPS THROUGH THEIR LINK. Rude some? Goodluck with whatever is going on. Been spending way too much time figuring out other things with Google to see what's happening here. Google frustration being let loose on members trying to help.
You're right. first site i've seen past August 1st http://209.85.141.104/search?q=cach...tml&hl=en&ct=clnk&cd=1&gl=us&client=firefox-a Any other sites?
