You don't think they have done any wrongdings in the past don't you?;)

Anyway to be honest do you believe Saakashvili /Georgia would dare to start an offensive right at the moment when the world's attention is on the Olympics in China, and they didn't get some form of OK from Washington?
Be honest with yourself. Some in Washington have serious OIL interests in the Caspian Basin ( - tribe.netThe world's second largest oil reserves are in Turkmenistan and the surrounding regions of the Caspian Basin. http://tribes.tribe.net/caspianbasinoil)
and they want to have Georgia on their side to get more control of it.

If you deny it you're either ignorant or you just play stupid fooling others around. ;)

Israel freezes defense sales to Georgia
JERUSALEM: Israel has decided to halt all sales of military equipment to Georgia because of objections from Russia, which is locked in a feud with its smaller Caucasus neighbor, Israeli defense officials said Tuesday.

Georgia denies Israeli arms trade freeze reports
Georgia dismissed Tuesday reports that Israel had halted military equipment sales to the Caucasus state over objections from Russia, which is locked in a feud with its ex-Soviet neighbor.

But here is something from Aug 6, 2008
Israel to sell Georgia only 'defensive' weapons
Israel will continue to sell Georgia defensive arms, but not offensive weapons, defense officials said Tuesday amid reports that Israel decided to halt the sale of military equipment to Georgia because of objections from Russia, Georgia's bitter rival.

    So whats happening? :confused::p:D

.............. Hours after Georgia President Mikhail Saakashvili, the pro-western Washington-backed anti-democratic stooge (attacks on opposition policians in Georgia are rife) declared a unilateral ceasefire, the Georgian army lanched a savage attack on the capital of the province of South Ossetia, Tskhinvali, with tanks and infantry, while the air force bombed a village and strafed a Russian humanitarian aid convoy. ......... http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/08-08-2008/106028-twofacedgeorgia-0

This man is worse than Bush who at least declared his illigal war on Iraq days before he ordered the attack on Iraq. "..Ask anyone in the Caucasus region, and they will tell you never to trust a Georgian because they would shake your hand with a smile and then stab you in the back...." http://english.pravda.ru/opinion/columnists/08-08-2008/106028-twofacedgeorgia-0

Saakashvili must be an idiot to believe he will succeed by using brutal force.

No one has a veto powers over Truth. It is what it is. CNN doesn't tell the whole truth all the time and you know it.
The thread you started seems to be seeking to put the blame on the Russians.

More opinions on the topic just opposite of CNN's:

Georgia invades breakaway South Ossetia province; Russia sends in tanks
    Alex Rodriguez | Tribune correspondent
    11:20 AM CDT, August 8, 2008
MOSCOW - Georgian troops launched a massive assault on the breakaway province of South Ossetia on Friday, taking control of much of the region and bringing Georgia's U.S.-allied government closer to the brink of full-scale conflict with Russia.

Just hours after Georgian President Mikhail Saakashvili declared a cease-fire with South Ossetian separatist troops, Georgian military forces unleashed a barrage of shelling on the province's capital, Tskhinvali, late Thursday and early Friday. By the morning, Georgian tanks had entered the South Ossetian capital... http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...ia-ossetia-webaug09,0,4176197.story?track=rss

Bush shouldn't support this kind of people and their actions.

Tomorrow will be a significiant day. They will either stop fighting and declare a ceasefire or Russians will get seriously engaged and start a full-scale offensive and own Georgia.

In my opinion, it's a revenge for Kosovo. Russians know that US and NATO are helpless and can't afford to help Georgia at the moment. US would have to abandon some of its other conflicts in order to get some troops together and NATO is struggling to mobilize 50k more troops to save the miserably failing mission in Afghanistan.

And the timing wasn't a coincidence, too ;) Chinese got pretty much owned. Instead of Olympic games, the conflict between Russia and Georgia is getting most of media coverage...

You all brainwashed by the west media. Im shocked! CNN, Sky News and all other brainwashing channels have very WRONG titles in their headlines.

Its Georgia, who attacked South Ossetia on a full scale at midnight of 8th Aug and declared a WAR! Russia only had their peacekeepers there in the region and when georgian tanks, planes and rockets demolished the south ossetian capital, including 10 russian peacekeepers dead & 30 injured, only then (after 16 hours, approx. at 4 pm) Russia sent its army , tanks and planes over there.

I cant believe how much bullsh*t the CNN can produce! They showing georgian rockets firing at night at south ossetian capital and saying russian army destroyed it. Ha ha, you can only laught at it.

And by the way, Russia still did not break any laws, theres a border where Russia cannot pass by the law and they did not break into Georgia, they only had fights in South Ossetia. But if this idiot saakashvili wont stop , Tbilisi will be the next target.

Yeah I have done some additional research and it seems that Georgia is the aggressor.

The fact is that 70% of South Ossetia citizens want to join North Ossetia (which is in Russia) and have voted already two times in referendum (both were successful). Furthermore, the SO has been a separated autonomy for years now, without any georgian government or influence. It were, in fact, Georgian troops that attacked first as they invaded SO.

Let us all remind that Russian peacekeepers are there by UN resolution ! And Georgia was stupid enough to attack minutes after their president announced ceasefire ! How stupid is that ? And they were hitting civilian targets and UN blue helmet peacekeepers with MLRs !

I was watching the media in my country from the morning. First there were articles how Georgia attacked ossetians and while day went by all changed and from the articles you could feel they want to say Russia attacked. Thank god for Internet and for getting up early in the morning. Huge anti-russian propaganda is going on right now.

Anyway stupid president of Georgia pushed his country into the war. How stupid can you be to attack russian peacekeepers and your own civil population ? Many people died today :(

And its the Olympics Day openning :( Thats why saakashvili never wanted to sign a non-force agreement in the region when Russia insisted so.

ha! Thats not a hard question, you dont even know that a georgian top military puppet wears a US uniform with a badge "Armed Forces", I nearly laughed when I saw him today on TV! I was gonna find an image of him on the net, but I couldnt. Guess where he got his panties from.

The only thing I dont understand, is what will Bush gain from this? To make a Russian reputation worse via CNN and other convenient media? Does he think Russia cares about that? Just another few thousand dead people waaaay away from US land. Non-sense.

Its also possible that Mr. Saakashvili went his own way by doing such a stupid thing last night and Bush did not know. Although, I doubt it.

Anyways, it seems that 58th russian military division pushed georgians back home and south ossetian capital TSKHINVALI is rescued, however destroyed badly.

    Update:

22:00 Strategic, govt facilities being evacuated from Tbilisi

21:15 Abkhazia: Georgia increasing military might on Abkhaz border

21:27 TV says Russian warplanes have bombed Georgian port

19:29 Georgia to stop relaying Russian TV programs from Aug 9

17:12 More than 1,400 killed in Tskhinvali

16:04 Russia to stop commercial air services with Georgia at midnight

Georgia is about to withdraw 2,000 troups from Iraq back home.

Seem like the next step will be declaring a war against Russia from mr. Saakashvili.

Very bad news. He is a nutter, more like a Hitler not Stalin :) Attacking at night and from the back....when no one expected.

so hundreds of western newspapers and tv channels are brainwashing us and the only truth comes from one putin run newspaper? Yeah, right:rolleyes:

and there was one sentence about Georgians and stabbing, well, actually anyone in the ex-soviet countries knows that this sentence goes for one other nation (the ones that are currently attacking Georgia ;) )

Neither Western or Russian media is right. No one is.

That's why it's a war, you have to pick a side, or remain neutral.
