Domain name extension won't matter much, it's just the quality of inbound links which will make some better than others. Usually only .gov, edu or mil are considered slightly superior, but mainly cause they will naturally have strong incoming links.

.coms are great if you can get them, otherwise get what you can as it's just the starting point for your online campaign!

Considering the usability and business standpoint, .com would be a better choice of course.

.edu is seen as a more trusted source in the eyes of the search engine, so getting links from them are supposed to be the best. I have not done any extensive testing with the idea, just what I have read from several other marketers.

.com is the best due to the standard.
However, the extension are not affect the PR or SERP

Your right. The extention does not effect ranking position. The only thing it might effect is the domain age/authority. I don't think Google will ever let it effect ranking positions or "PR" heh. The simple proof is that the extention can easily be obtained for free.

.com is easier to remember but i did a experiment and saw that the extention does not have an effect on your PR

No difference from an SEO perspective, but from a marketing viewpoint .com is and always will be the best option to go for!

there isn't a difference at all but some seem to think edu and gov help you out because they are authority websites but really it does not matter much other than for the most part .com's seem to have a higher pagerank because they are usually the main thing people buy and develop

I personally go for .com but would go for .org if it was the only one available.

Don't think it really matters either way for ranking though

You should choose .com if you have a commercial site and .org for an organization
it looks more professional when you have it this way, but google treats both
    extensions the same.

Not only .org, but also .gov, .mil, and .edu links weight more (since most of them have HIGH PR)
