max bid $1 when no others bid?

    Hello,

I set up a new campaign.

some keyword bid is $0.05 checked in Google keyword tool, and no ads displayed when searching on google.

But my min bid for the keyword is $1 in my campaign.

Is there something wrong? Is this a result of Trademark?

    Thanks!

It looks like you have been Google slapped. Post up your advert and keywords along with CTR stats, maybe then someone can help you.

Yeah you need a new strategy. Try my Google Adwords book, it my unique method and it has worked for me countless times.

I regularly pay $0.05 on keywords that are quite popular, and my average CTR is about %15

Check it out here, or pm me for details.

drummer - if you just ONCE gave someone a tip, a bit of advice or an opinion based on experience instead of spamming your fucking book in every other thread you wouldn't be half so mind-numbingly annoying

bryanw - it's not the competition (as there isn't any - though personally I'd worry about that a little) that's pushing your price up - it's the quality score - you need to get your keyword, ad text and landing page all working togther to convince google that your ad is 'relevant'.

Even if there is no competition, that doesn't mean you will be paying a penny per click, (or a nickel in this case).

Sometimes if you find something that has no competition it could be one of two things:

1.) You found an undiscovered area, (unlikely but possible).
2.) People have tried that keyword and it's no good.

But to get the bid down, you need to work on your quality score.

Thanks guys for all your replies!

It's a new campaign. The Impression, Clicks are all 0.

In Adwords Diagnostic Tool, "You have no ads that match the search term"

In Ad Preview Tool, My ads don't display.

I think it may be in review process, and it may take for ever to get approve(I'm not in US).

When ads are not approved, the QS starts to count?

    Thanks!

No ads that match the search term? Sounds more like google doesn't think your ad is relevant to the search term. Is the keyword in the ad? My ads are always up within ten minutes. Pretty sure that was what happened when i opened the account as well.

Sounds strange try some testing, set the keyword to broad search, try a different ad with the keyword in it.

may be you are bidding on unrelated high search volume terms. Add terms related and which are on landing page. If a keyword is absent on landing page for which you are bidding then google increases price which is unprofitable.

What the f*** is your problem... All i did was offer a very valuable e-book, and i also offered help if he pm'd me.

I was not spamming.. i dont care if he buys my e-book or not, he could pm me and i would give him as much advice as he wants.

I think my post was more valuble than your whining and complaining about my post.

@bryanw : please feel free to pm me, i have had lots of previos experiance with gogle adwords, im offering you genuine help if you pm me, i will not try to sell anything to you, nor am i asking you to buy my e-book.

Hope i cleared up any confusion... sorry for the apparant "spamming".
