I think i need to work on it more like the header and stuff but i think i did alright for my first design ever. And also i don't think the colors match to well. Its for my site Silph.com: http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa112/WatchMoviez/firstdesign.jpg Please review it or something. Thanks.
hello friend your design is a very beautiful but if you donot miand. your background is not beautiful. all the best.
For a new designer, I would say, great job Work on the background a little more.... Make it look a part of the design - at the moment, its looking really tacky. Good luck
Not bad, especially for a first-timer. I can tell you I've done much worse when I started out. Here's a few things that need a bit of work. The header; either lose the graphic, or work on the edges. It's pretty bland as is. Try to texture the background lightly and rather than use the 'stroke' option for your title, try using an outer glow set to 2px. It will be much softer. The 'search>watch>review' text seems blurry or compressed. The background is a bit bland. Maybe try to incorporate some of the blue you have going on since I feel there's too much gray. Try to use that blue color a bit more in the content. When placing filler text, take a look at Lipsum.com. I generates old Latin that will look much better than repeating a few words over and over again.
looks okay for a first design. Although some things could use being aligned better. The menu for example, the items arn't centered in their sections much, and I don't see why there isn't a line between "cartoons" and "anime".
Not bad at all! Remember to test it with different browsers under different OS though. Try for instance browsershots.org, that's pretty useful.
One suggestion, I would shrink the size of the gray buffers above every box and maybe even replace the gray with another color. There's a website named color blender (google it) they have some good color matches for which every one you choose.
not bad at all for your 1st step anyway, for your improvement on color scheme => http://www.colorcombos.com/ keep up the good work! Best Regards, Mistic http://www.photoshoptutorial.tv/
