i guess its stumble upon thats getting u 1000 google searches sorry but true. somehow you got ranked high on google because stumble upon ppl checked your site 17000 times. its not the article directories.. Article directories are never the less died. Its now web 2.0 VIdeo sites and Social bookmark sites are the sites that can get you high ranking in google now days Just what has happend in your case Other then that forums like digital point forum. One big link baiting thread. Like a new amazing search engine or directory or hosting coupon site. Can do the same trick and get 1000 visitors from google as well Hope you understand Search engines counting your site based on HITS from social sites + backlinks JUst backlinks and no visitor cannot rank your site higher. You can buy 10000 backlinks from dead blogs which no one read. And get nothing from those in serp You can post 1 good article in ezine articles and depending on how many people liked your unique content and clicking and checking your site backlinking you can rank higher and higher.. for that term Its not 1000 backlinks Its backlinks + hits So stumble upon + 1000 fake backlinks that you made is the source of your success
Congrats. will be interesting to see the Analytics stats at the 6 month mark. I have had similar search success with a site that I launched around the 23 May 08. Here are the stats from the 23rd May to the 24th June I do get a bit of referring traffic, But nothing like you get with SU. I did get some SU traffic the other day, at the time I had my whos.amung.us map open, and it was quite a buzz seeing my traffic (in real time) go from the average 5 visitors to 200 visitors in a matter of minutes. But alas, the SU traffic left as quick as it came, and never returned. Anyway, the site is now 2 and a half months old, and the search engine traffic has sort of leveled out. Hopefully as I gain age and natural back links thing will start moving up again.. Here are the stats again, but this time from 23 May to the 7th Aug 08. From all the search engine visits, Google accounts for over 11k of them. Looking forward to your update. Cheers James
Sorry, but SU gives VERY little backlink effect. I've already tested this many times. And what is really going to kill your theory is the fact I did the backlinking FIRST, then I remembered, hey wait! I should see how SU likes these pages! Sorry, get a new theory . Social bookmarking is too easy to manipulate for Google to trust it this much. tattoos- VERY impressive! I can only guess if I had poured more time into mine it would be near yours in success. After all, I only had time to write four articles and do four backlinking projects
Because 18k hits is amazing from 1 website, how did you do it? If you had a 5-10% CTR then you could easily make $100 a month from $0.1-0.2 clicks (that's 5% from SU alone)!!!
Thanks mate. It seems to me from your search stats, that your site has far more potential than mine, as you were getting double figures within a few days, where as mine took a while to take off. I have been watching my targeted keywords, and apart from a few, I am happy with where they are.. so I do not see my site getting that much more search traffic. (I may be wrong) My site is more of a service, so I cannot really add more content. But the more you add, the better you will rank, and you have already said that it is a high paying niche, so its potential is great.. Good luck with it. Cheers James
Impressive.. I find it hard to break the 5000 a month mark of organic Google Traffic. Rankings will just drop off
Its really unbelievable, 1 month this much of traffic and 40- to 50 click. Normally Google will take at least 3 months to raise any site. Any how its amazing and appreciating ur hard work
That's amazing dude but i am think do you own stumbleupon or you have mastered it . How come you are getting so much traffic . Plz give us some tips or start writing a ebook on it man .
