Best solution would be to reinstall II7.

Use the Programs & Features in control panel. then the Turn Windows Features on or off and then add Interney Information Services.

Or if it is checked remove it, then restart then reinstall.

I think by default IIS6 is only installed for the FTP service.

IIS 7.0 is a component of Windows Server 2008 and Vista. Why do you believe you have IIS 6.0?

Version 6.0 is what my IIS says now. Not sure why. I had IIS 7.0 before for quite a while and it worked fine..

but anyway... i was out of town on my laptop on a family members network in reno.. the guy had it set up in a weird way.. anyway.. i think it had to do with the IP settings. once i came back home it worked fine.

If my IIS7 reverted to 6 I'd be one happy bunny. I can't find a thing in 7 and dislike it even more than I do Vista.

In Vista, there are two IIS managers. One is version 6, and one is version 7. Make sure you're opening the right one...
