Double digit CTR, should I Be Concerned?

One of my new sites has become extremely successful this month and is generating double digit CTR most days, somedays greater than 30%. The site totally conforms to Google TOS, no ads close to graphics, no encouraging clicks, just good old ad blending, and great traffic from SEO. No invalid clicks (click protection installed) and every precaution taken to ensure compliance with TOS.

Content is continually fresh and unique, with new content published approximately every 2 - 3 days.

Right now I'm seeing about 50% from the search engines and 30% from a great link building campaign.

Traffic has risen consistently on this site, with ad positions being refined and tweaked to generate what I'm seeing now.

I've read many posts here about high CTR's catching Google's attention, but Google's support has not provided me with answers other than the typical answers such as "We cannot comment on individual sites" and "We have mechanisms in place to ensure the integrity of our advertiser's interests" etc.

My question is should I be concerned or just enjoy the ride?

Try not to look at a single day ctr. Take the overall "all time" figure. That will give a better indication. Anyway somehow it's still possible depending on the niche you are in.

Buddy, whathever you do, don't post your site. If you have emailed them already, just enjoy the ride. Always check your traffic and IP's...

    Congrats! :)

    Thanks for the tips!!! :)

I have (and had) no intentions on posting the URL to the site and yes, I am going to enjoy this ride! I thought about flipping the site in June, glad I gave it a few extra months!!!

    Dear Cbrooker

As long as you are following the Google Adsense TOS nothing to worry, but id you have done something to increase the clicks even bought some traffic , Google cab suspend your account for invalid click activity.

I write articles to get the traffic to my adsense site , and some day when an goes super my CTR is above 40 % , so no need to worry.

    Best of Luck

    Thanks Tehmina.

I'm very cautious about TOS, and invalid clicks. I've installed click protection and have had no indications ever about invalid clicks since I've installed it. My take is that the rates I'm seeing are OK. I can back up the traffic figures with Analytics and other stats reports.

Just a few people who I chat with via MSN indicated that I should be very concerned.

I'm just enjoying the ride for now. I know I will eventually get smart priced, that seems to be the trend as of late.

I wouldn't worry unless the ctr stays at 30-50% for weeks. Google would probably figure that you're finding a way to game their system and devalue the clicks. If you're not violating the TOS then you don't have to worry that you account will get banned.

I was getting about 20% CTR for a few days on my site but now it has settled down to like 8-10%. So I wouldn't worry about any issues unless you get like 30-40% for weeks. Then Google might start taking a look at your site.
