Is there an adword guru in the house?

These adwords are pissing me off, when I 1st started my campaign I had the very top spot, the one above the search results and then a day later it disappeared and I haven't been bale to get it back. It does not matter how much I bid, I just can't get it.

Also, I want to target this site so my ads come up on there. I have actually targeted it in my dashboard. I am offering a very high amount per click and it will still not let me on.

Anyone got any tips? I have read all of the Google guidelines and my ad smashes every one of them. I am providing a unique service that nobody else is offering, I have a minted landing page.

The only thing that I can think of is that because it is an SEO type service I may have been brought down.

What was your CTR like? Was is your QS?

Regardless of high your Max CPC is, if your CTR is bad, you won't get #1.

For displaying ads on your website can't you block your competitors ads? this may have happened to you. Its called the Competitor ad filter.

20% is good, but I checked on the adsense setup and you can enter specific urls to block. The website you want to appear on has most likely blocked you. Create an ad with a different URL to test it out.

Pretty sure he means search results.

20% is pretty good - can't see why this may be the case. How do you know you are not number 1? Just using the preview tool?

Just looking on Google when I type in my words, I get the top spot but on the right hand side. I need to make sure I am coming up ahead of Matt Cutts who is #1 organic - i don't think his page could be beat in the natural listings so I am trying the adword route.

Ads placed above the search results have to meet a high quality score and have a higher bid - it's another one of those google qualifications that they're annoyingly vague about telling exactly what they want in terms of quality. But just bidding higher won't get it.
