The popular site runyourcarwithwater.com is no more, any hop to that address is redirecting to water4gas and obviously the affiliate is centemax so affiliates will be wasting tons of money before they find out and he will get the commission

    What a Pervert!

Really? My affiliate links to it are still working fine, the site comes up normally. I know the "Drive Water" product did what you're talking about before, maybe youre thinking of that.

That's absolutely insane. Why would he do that? That's crazy. Why risk pissing off your affiliates when they are bringing him in loads of cash just to make a few more bucks in the short run? If he's really doing that trick because he makes 40+ on an affiliate sale of W4G and only 10+ for a publisher sale of his own product then that's crazy short sighted. It's so crazy I really have a hard time imagining that someone would do that.

Well if you guys want an alternative try www.drivewithwaterfuel.com

Its not my site. I've been an affiliate for him and when google was allowing this niche was knocking down $1K plus days.

Its a good product, converts well and returns are avg for the market.

If you want an alternative check it out.

    I get nothing from this.

    Its just good karma.

    screw RYCOW, promote www.superwatercarsecret.com

I won't lie, this is my product. I launched it last week and now it's finally starting to pick up now that the smart affiliates have jumped on board and started making sales.

Hopefully centemax should have earned a ton by this time and may be thats why he can afford to loose his affiliates. Water Car Pro once had a secret link to PayPal payment that could steal the affiliate's commission. How cold they possibly imagine to cheat their affiliates?
And by the way let me take this chance to call the affiliates to my website, ;) http://www.thehhocar.com, it has a good conversion rate, recurring upsell, low gravity(that's obviously because of the big competition but all my affiliates are quite successful) and moreover I am not going to run away from this forum. Affiliates PM me for help.

Hey kavin6 - I'm noticing more and more publishers doing the whole $4.95 and pay the rest later routine. How is that working out for you? I'm considering adding it as a "down sell" on my site - but you are going about it a different way including it right there (but as $10 more overall.) How many of your customers are choosing one option or the other?

I wouldnt advise on such a method on this niche. Keep in mind that the crude reality is that 99% of the people that buy a run your car on water product feel that they have been fooled because the sales page convinced them that its easy to do - while its not.

There are lot of people that never ask for a refund anyways even if they are not satisfied - you know how it goes, they wanted to refund but never actually bothered to do so....

Keeping the above in mind, if you charge them a small fee once and they will try the product and dont like it/find it difficult etc, they will be sure to stop the other payment.

The idea of downselling is good but very unlikely that it can ever work with such products...

    Cheers!

I simply had to rep you for this... [ribs hurt laughing icon here]

**While I'm not going to go prove if this is real or not, it seems that it is indeed true, perhaps some randomizing or scheduling tricks... very shady and yes I would be pissed as an aff... It's also funny to see all the alternative pubs coming to hawk their offer as an alternate to switch to... lol CB has become the 'cut throat water car pub war'.

Hi zibblu - I thought of experimenting this system a long ago and implemented it last Wednesday. Till now the standard sales and recurring sales have the same count. At the same time all the recurring sales are successfully re-billed without any cancellation and a few are awaiting re-bill. Here's a snapshot
    [IMG]
I'm planning to experiment with the price tag and will let you know if I capture a trend.

You are right customers will surely stop the other payment but only if they don't like it. So better give them a quality product. And I guess that this idea depends on your marketing skill no matter what product it is.
    Cheers
