Serps

    I was just wondering, if i had two different websites linking to me, and they where both related to my website! The only difference between the two websites and the page they where linking from was that one of the websites had a pagerank of 4 and the other with 0.

    Would the website with a page rank of 4, have more of an effect on Serps than the website with 0?

    Considering everything same, PR4 would have more effect certainly.

    You say that as if you know everything! Why of course? When having a pagerank of 4 site this doesny mean you won't rank higher than a pagerank 0 site!

    So why would pr matter in this case!

    When does Pagerank matter?

    He is 100% correct.

    PageRank = inbound links
    Linking power = page rank
    SERPs ~= inbound links
    therefor
    PageRank = SERPs

    There are many more factors involved than just PR... I could tell you if I had the URLS

    It's not that easy today. Now PR is not so efficient as it was earlier, but still PR4 will be more efficient than PR0. But you must look at live PR not on toolbar's.

    PR updates quite often, so the toolbar is usually accurate.

    I know it's not as simple as PR leading to high rankings, but there is obviously a direct relationship between backlinks and rankings, and PR is just a reprentation of backlinks.

    higher PR = higher rankings

    U can't say that updates quite often, it takes usually about 3-4 monthes to happen.

    The most recent update felt much faster, like 1 month. Not sure if it was actually faster or not, but it sure felt faster.

    I meant that updates of toolbar's PR usually happen in 3 month and that's why I told to look at the live PR.
