No matter what people say about Windows or how much it sucks, the majorty of people, businesses, corporations etc still use it. It is THE OS whether you like it or not so... yeah.
Count me in for Linux. I am an old Unix trained guy. I truely loved that operating system, shame I to migrate to Windows and OS400. Now OS400 is a great operating system.
I do not like Windows, however i like many programs who is made for Windows. Yes i know you can emulate them through Wine, but most programs still run much better in Windows. I prefer using linux on servers though.
I have used Mandriva, Mandrake when it was still around, Red Hat, Slackware, Yellow Dog, Susie Linux, Puppy, Knopex. To many to really list but my favorite is Mandriva, it is a really easy distro to use.
I've 2 HDD 1st Windows XP SP2 2nd Linux Mandriva 2008 I'm pretty sure that Linux is the best, but it needs professional to deal with.
I also using windows xp without any real problem. yes, they are problem that require me to restart, but not a big deal. as chuck yeager used to say "it's the man, not the machine"
