Designing a school social network?

Hello,

I have just been thinking about trying to bring in an " in school " Social network and wanted to know what some people thought? below are the some of the features/restrictions that will be involved:

* All register buttons will be disabled so no outside of school students can join and only moderators or teachers can add students

* No public photos will be able to be uploaded only their school photo ID photo (depends on what school wants)

* students will be able to comment each other and use the built in e-mail client

* In built forum system can be used to talk about assignments and a place for general use etc.

* site will be monitored for cyber bullying etc and profiles suspended and comments removed

They are some of the ideas that i have had, you are very welcome to share your thoughts on this and to include any other features / restrictions that should be in place

I don´t think it´s too smart too share your website ideas in public, it might get stolen.

They already have systems like these in place for schools.

It's called a blackboard.

 

yeah your right.. infact i'm a part of one right now.. going into one as a freshman in college. but if you can think of some cool features.. you could definitley sell software to schools.

 

yeah there are systems like you want.

 

You can use some social network script and customize it accordingly.
