    I have 2 questions

    1) What's the best CTR

    2) How to Improve CTR

I have Regional campaigns and the CTR varies from .50% to 3 %. I have tried Ads and various Ad Positions too for the campaigns below 1%. Any suggestions on what can i try to take the CR above 1 %.

    Thanks

To increase your CTR, you need to do a couple of things:
    1) Make sure you're starting with a strong set of keywords that you've researched well
    2) Improve your ad relevancy by writing your ad copy specifically for those keywords - to do this you'd create smaller ad groups based on similar keywords so you could then write your ads to target every keyword in that ad group

I've seen clickthrough rates up 13% on some of my ads, i've heard of people getting click through rates of as high as 50!

some tips to improve you're clickthrough rates...

1)Use you're keywords in the ad. Keywords will be in bold in the ad, which helps tremendously in clickthroughs because you're ad will stand out from the crowd.
2)state a benefit (a desireable effect of using the product)
3)state a call to action such as "now, click here, today!, etc.."

for example say you're keyword was "Adwords Course"
    Title: Adwords Course
LI: Adwords Couse, To Learn How To
L2: Pay Less & Rank High Click Here!
    URL:www.AdwordsCourse.com

Agree on the first two points, but I thought "click here" and related text were specifically disallowed by google?

There's no such thing as "best ctr", some get 1%, some get 20%. it all depends on how much your ad relates to the searcher's problem.

1.There is not such a thing like best CTR because it varies from niche to niche from a keyword to another keyword,Your CTR can be 1% for some keywords and 30% for other keywords,it really depends on several factors.

2.You can improve your CTR by being relevant and testing different adcopies.
Make 5-10 different adcopies and test them all to see which one will get the best CTR and then only use the one with the best CTR.
One word in your ad can change your CTR by 1-2% very easily to better or worse.

The only way to get a better CTR is with testing different adcopies.

    1. The best CTR is a CTR that is better than your competitors

    2. There is only 1 way to improve CTR and that is to write a better text ad

1.) 100% is the best ctr.
2.) Optimize everything and move your ad further up the page, (short cut to higher ctr).

I think conversion rate is more important than CTR. There is no mean of 100% CTR with no conversions.

Anyways i usually have 5% avg CTR for all my clients accounts.

Here are some tips for you to increase the CTR:

    • Ad should be To the Point. Include the most relevant information about your business first. Make it concise, and encourage the user to take action.

    • Include most relevant & best performing keywords in your ad headline, since that’s what people are looking for. It makes your ad seem more relevant. It will also bold your keywords in Ad text for the relevant search query.

    • The best headlines are directly related to the keywords being searched. That makes your ad seem especially relevant to the searcher’s interests.

    • Ad should have Call to Action points, like “Buy Now”, “Order Today”, “Online Shop Now”, “Join Now” etc. so that people should know what to expect when they click through.

    • Ad description has to convey both the benefits of your product or service and the call to action. Keep everything relevant, short & simple as you can.

    • Don’t forget to Target Your Ads. Take care of language & location targeting to reach your most targeted visitors. Targeting your ad helps eliminate unwanted clicks and gets your ad to the right audience.

    All the best :)
