no it hasnt been removed from the block list yet.
So, ur site is back to normal, now ? if it hasnt, MAKE Sure you check your .htaccess file.

I contacted hostgator about this and they replied like this :

    Hello,
We have already taken steps to try and mitigate this as much as possible on our shared servers however this has proven more difficult on dedicated servers since it's harder for us to automatically generate lists of affected accounts.

Guess, those who own dedicated servers will have to be more cautious...

    Wow,

Question... what's the access restrictions like within the root web directory? Sounds like the root web directory is universally read/write/execute so anyone can go in there and have a field day. If this is common to the web providers - then this is very irresponsible to have such security being so wide open.

I had the same damn thing happen to me. They hacked my .htaccess file and were re-routing people to that phishing website. Who knows how to DDOS these bastards in return???!!!

    Hi,

As an support technician at a large hosting company I can say that most of these issues are due to the clients choosing weak ftp passwords or the credentials being compromised by some other method.

I highly recommend you change all of your ftp passwords and make sure that your desktop computer is not infected.

This would not be a good idea as you would be committing a crime yourself.

You might have included any script or code from third party site especially from untrustworthy affiliate partner that is the cause of this problem. Don't worry, simply remove the code installed and everything will be restored.

actually, i am pretty confident it happens not because of our fault, but through the webhosts themselves. If you take a look at this http://support.mozilla.com/tiki-view_forum_thread.php?locale=ro&comments_parentId=115906&forumId=1
you will notice, that almost every ipowerWeb hosted site has been affected by this. Though, i cant confirm whether it has happened to all hostgator sites too, i believe it has, because in their email reply to me, they stated that they were working on mitigating this problem (not just for me, but throughout their servers).
